Uses: Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Vildagliptin HCL Metformin Hydrochloride Tablet
Vildagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride tablets are combined in the medication known as, Vildagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride which is anti-diabetic. Previously, type 2 diabetes was referred to as maturity-onset diabetes or non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). When the body does not create enough insulin or when the insulin it does produce is not functioning as it should, type 2 diabetes develops. It may also arise from an excess of glucagon produced by the body. One chemical that aids in lowering blood sugar levels, particularly after meals, is insulin. Another medication called METFORMIN+VILDAGLIPTIN causes the liver to produce more sugar, which raises blood sugar levels. Both of these are produced by the pancreas.
The combination of VILDAGLIPTIN and METFORMIN aids in blood sugar regulation. Vildagliptin’s action causes the pancreas to generate less glucagon and more insulin, and metformin’s effect helps the body utilize the insulin it does have more effectively. Throughout your METFORMIN+VILDAGLIPTIN treatment, you must continue to adhere to the food and exercise regimen that has been prescribed for you. Insulin cannot be substituted with metformin plus Vildagliptin. It is not used to treat diabetic ketoacidosis or type 1 diabetes, in which the body is unable to make insulin.
Better blood glucose control: Tablets containing metformin hydrochloride and vildagliptin help people with type 2 diabetes manage their elevated blood sugar levels. The biguanide metformin acts by decreasing the amount of glucose produced in the liver, postponing the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and enhancing the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that lowers blood sugar-raising hormones and boosts the pancreatic release of insulin. When combined, they offer improved blood sugar regulation.
The convenience of combination therapy: Vildagliptin and metformin Hydrochloride tablets are convenient combination therapy since they contain two antidiabetic drugs in one convenient tablet. As a result, people with type 2 diabetes may find that their treatment regimen is simpler because they only need to take one tablet rather than several.
Decreased risk of hypoglycemia: Studies have demonstrated that in comparison to certain other antidiabetic drugs, Vildagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets have a lower chance of producing hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. Those who are susceptible to episodes of low blood sugar may find this helpful.
Weight neutrality: Metformin hydrochloride and Vildagliptin tablets have been linked to either modest weight gain or weight neutrality. For those who worry about weight gain as a side effect of diabetes drugs, this may be helpful.
