Cofstop Cough Syrup:- Cofstop cough Syrup is made up of Ambroxol, Terbutaline, Guaifenesin, and Menthol. Ambroxol is an ‘expectorant’ that reduces the secretion of sputum/cough. It is also a ‘mucolytic agent’ that makes sputum less sticky and makes breathing easier. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator drug which works a widen and relax the airways of the lungs. Guaifenesin is also an expectorant which helps to clear the mucus. It decreases the thickness or glueyness of bronchial secretions (phlegm) and raises mucus flow, making it easier to cough. Menthol is an organic flavour additive which provides coolness and relieves throat irritation.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the course based which is based on your health condition or when you take some other medicine. Like every other medication, Cofstop cough Syrup also has common side effects like nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, sweating and muscle cramps, dizziness, headache, rash, tremor (shakiness), palpitations (uneven heartbeat), and increased heartbeats. These side effects, occur when you start the medication course. However, if the side effects aren’t removed, reach out to your doctor immediately.

Cofstop cough Syrup should be used with proper caution for those patients who have heart, liver, or kidney diseases, stomach ulcers, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, breathing disorders, lung disorders, seizures, diabetes, low potassium levels in the blood, and difficulty breathing. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Cofstop Cough Syrup with proper consultation and caution. Avoid consumption of alcohol while you taking Cofstop Cough Syrup as it could lead to increased sleepiness or dizziness which can break your concentration while you are doing some work which becomes harmful for you. Do not drive if you feel sleepy or have an increased heart rate or shakiness after taking Cofstop cough Syrup it may increase the chances of your accident. Cofstop Cough Syrup is not prescribed to children who are younger than 6 years old.
