Gabarapid-NT 100
Gabarapid-NT 100 – This tablet contains two drugs namely Gabapentin IP & Nortriptyline Hydrochloride that are used for the management of neuropathic pain. It is a chronic pain progressive nerve illness that causes pain. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant sensations, shooting, searing, or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain generated by normally painless events).
Gabapentin+nortriptyline is a combination of the medicines gabapentin and nortriptyline. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant, while Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant. Gabapentin works by binding to a specific location on voltage-gated calcium channels, which reduces nerve discomfort and the risk of seizures. Nortriptyline, on the other hand, operates by stopping the brain’s released chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) from being reabsorbed into nerve cells (neurons). As a result, it prolongs the effects of serotonin and noradrenaline in the brain while also inhibiting the flow of pain signals.
Gabapentin IP & Nortriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets also have some harmful effects like other medications. However, these side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear when your body adjusts to the medication. Consult with your doctor if you persistently experience these side effects and get medical help.
