ZEROSITA M 500 – This medication is a combination of drugs namely Sitagliptin Phosphate & Metformin Hydrochloride (SR) Tablets. This medication belongs to the class of anti-diabetic agents used to treat type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is characterized by either the body’s inability to produce enough insulin (the hormone that helps to lower blood sugar levels) or insulin resistance. As a result, insulin is created in high quantities yet cannot operate on the body’s organs.
Sitagliptin Phosphate & Metformin Hydrochloride stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin, improves insulin utilization, and reduces the excess sugar produced by the liver. It helps to limit the rise in blood sugar levels following a meal. Furthermore, long-term use does not result in weight increase. Sitagliptin and metformin work together to lower blood sugar levels. It prevents major diabetes problems such as vision loss (retinopathy), kidney disease (nephropathy), nerve damage (neuropathy), diabetic foot ulcers, and delayed wound healing.
Take this medication as advised by your doctor. To get better results take Sitagliptin Phosphate & Metformin Hydrochloride as prescribed by your doctor. Do not chew or crush this medication swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Even if you feel better, you should not stop taking sitagliptin and metformin without visiting your doctor because your sugar level fluctuates. If you stop taking Sitagliptin+metformin abruptly, your sugar levels may rise, increasing your risk of vision loss (retinopathy), kidney disease (nephropathy), and nerve damage. Sitagliptin plus metformin should not be used if you have type 1 diabetes or severe renal or liver damage.
